Mt Creek Farm and Outfitters was established in 2004 by Mark Tyson, an avid whitetail hunter for over 35 years. I have killed numerous whitetails that have scored between 120 and 150 Boone and Crocket in the area where you will be hunting. I have a local reputation of killing trophy whitetail deer. I have actively been managing for big whitetails for over 25 years. I use a lot of the products for food plots (various clovers, chicory) that have been developed by The Whitetail Institute of North America plus soybeans and clay peas. I supplement the local minerals by use of the famed Whitetail Institute’s 30-06.

Various tracts of land have been leased from land owners to prevent over hunting and the spooking of deer. A different tract of land will be hunted each week of the season. I feel that this will provide each hunter with the opportunity to harvest a nice buck. All property is located in close proximity to the bunkhouse and due to free roaming deer, the same quality of deer abide on all the tracts. All the deer shown on this website were harvested within a five mile radius of the land being used by Mt Creek Farm & Outfitters. I think you will agree, these are some pretty nice trophies. This is a FAIR CHASE hunt, meaning the outfitter has done all he can do to provide you with the opportunity for a nice buck, but no guarantee is made. The hunt allows one buck and doe per hunter. No one will be able to fill the tag of another hunter. It is possible that you might be given authority by the outfitter to take an additional doe deer. This will depend on how many does have already been harvested at the time of your hunt.

Your hunting package includes pick up at and return to the Greensboro, N.C. airport, bunkhouse accommodations with single beds and lockers for each hunter, complimentary Southern Tradition home cooked meals for breakfast and supper with dessert (please see menu posted in the web site) all full course and fit for a king) (lunch will be various sandwich materials), recovery of your deer, dressed, caped, ready for the taxidermist shop and deer delivered to the meat processor. Processing currently runs around $45.00. This is the hunter’s expense! In the event that you kill your deer late in the hunt and there is not enough time to get it processed before you leave, the outfitter will have it shipped by UPS to your home address in waxed cardboard boxes with dry ice. This will be at the expense of the hunter and at the current price at the time of the hunt. A $100.00 deposit will be required for this service. All reasonable effort will be taken by the outfitter to prevent spoilage but the outfitter will not be responsible for spoilage of your game. If the cost is less than $100.00, the outfitter will forward you a check for the difference. Also for those interested, I can mount your trophy at a cost of $350.00 to $400.00. This is for a full shoulder mount and shipped to your home by UPS.

There is a small airport in Rockingham. If you fly in on a private plane, I will make arrangements to pick you up and return you to the Rockingham Airport after the hunt.
